O2 Sensor Bung Size?

O2 Sensor Bung Size?

is the O2 sensor "bung hole" (haha) size 18mm x 1.5? i cant find this size on any forums. also does anyone know of a place online that sells 2.0 to 2.5" flared exhaust pipe?

Yes. M18x1.5. Same for pretty much all O2 sensors, and all wideband sensors.

You want that flare in mild steel, or stainless?

thanks scathcart. stainless would be good. i wont be using it very long though so either one might work.

M18 x 1.5, as it shows in the thread pitch topic you can find in the archives. Searching, checking the FAQ and checking the archives will answer 99% of your questions without having to wait for a reply when posting.

As for the pipe, you can find tubing at most local metal suppliers. Finding transitions is a little more difficult. McMaster-Carr probably has it, or a local exhaust shop can direct you to a source (places that work on truck exhausts are best). You can also create your own flare by simply shrinking down a piece of 2.5" by cutting slits along the circumfrence of one end and then pushing them down with a hammer.
