Jspec engine swap ?'s

I did a couple searches and came up with some contadictory info.

I'm looking to swap a S5 Jspec motor into my 87 T2 S4 car.

What things will I have to do for the swap?

I don't need to worry about OMP I'll just run premix. I need to know if I can use my S4 ECU and harness, as well as the S4 clutch and flywheel. Are there any nit picky things like throttle cable etc I might need to worry about?

Any info is greatly appreciated

Cheers
G

i did the swap on my car. 87 T2 with 89+ turbo J-spec. i stayed with the 87 harness and ECU out of convience and economy. the intake manifold on the 89+ engine must be swapped with the 87 IM, as well as the front cover(well maybe not if your gonna premix.) the clutch and flywheel from 87 engine can stay. the vac spider from the 89+ must be changed over as well. if you have any questions, feel free to PM or Email me or whatever. i did the engine swap a while back so im sure theres something im forgeting.

he lies, you can use the 89 as long as you use the 86-88 throttle body for the sensor stuff. ive done it! it runs good!
