jpec t2 engine with american ecu

Can you use a jspec engine with a north american harness and ecu? Its an s4 ecu and harness with a jspec t2 engine. Or is that asking for trouble?

Everything is in exactly the same location, there's just a few things missing (ASW solenoid, port air solenoid, EGR).

Dont the jspec s4 engines have lighter rotors? I read somewhere that it could lessen the life of the motor using a north american ecu with a jspec, could be wrong

Remember the handle NZConvertible and when he replies, read the answer and believe it.
Actually higher compression, but lighter rotors in the S5.

No, the internals and most of the externals are identical.

I don't see how. Like I said, they're the same motor.

COOL, cuz I can get a jspec motor from Mazmart here in Atlanta for pretty cheap, but no ECU or harness, so I'm glad to hear that it works just fine. Bonus.

I've been running an s5 jspec core with my s4 ecu/harness for 1.5 years and 40,000 miles without any problems.
