Jerky with the throttle, clutch, and bucking a lot...

Well, my car has been driving quite well for the couple of months (I think?), except that it's very jerky when you're driving under 25 MPH, especially when you're modulating the throttle.

Also, it ends up bucking a lot, or making shuddering noises when you let off the gas, downshift, or let off the clutch at low speed (with low revs).

My TPS is set dead-on, I have a new water thermosensor, and my throttle freeplay is set dead-on.

I have a bad dashpot, though. Could that alone cause the bucking?

Or do I need new transmission or engine mounts, or something?

The engine mounts looked fairly good when I had them out of the car...

I think some of the jerkiness might just be old shocks... but just the jerkiness that comes from going on and off throttle while driving at normal speed.

Dead spots in the TPS are the normal cause of this.

The best way to check is with a scope. Measure the output of the TPS (see FSM for wiring) while the throttle is slowly moved from wide open to closed several times. Any spikes in the reading are a dead spot.

As for the original problem, you mentioned the dashpot. Is it totally removed? If it is, then sometimes the throttle can close too quickly...the dashpot is there to make throttle closings gradually. This can cause annoyance when driving with a light touch.

The dashpot is a peice of junk, so I screwed it back far enough that it wouldn't touch the throttle at all.

I need a new one... don't know the part number though, plus I don't have the ~$100 for a new one right now (or at least have better things to spend it on).
