JDM UIM w/ Aspec LIM - Brake boost vac source????

Okie, some how i ended up with a Jspec UIM and a Aspec lower intake manifold.

Where is the best place to drill for a brake booster vac source?

I was thinking of putting it in the UIM BAC block off.

Is hose length a problem?

Thanks!

Ok, I was thinking about drilling one of these areas.

My only concern is that the hose has to take a 90 degree bend up towards the brake booster hard line.

Which one would you go for?

My vac nipple size is 3/8th. It seems like the threads for this fitting are 1/2"

I went out today and found what I needed. In fact I might be able to drill and tap into the stock location in the UIM.

Found this stuff at Napa and it was about 7 bucks for the brass fitting and the tap. Napa is great!

Well, I ended up drilling/tapping the stock JSPEC location for it.

But the best part is .... talking to myself

Yeah ....notice the dates on my posts....i think everybody thought I was on something....

So you found a brass fitting that was a 90 degree bend?

I did learn that Pipe thread is some weird stuff. The tap was 1/8". Nothing on that tap measured 1/8".
