jdm t2 engine harness and ecu, into a s5 n/a turbo swap help

ok like the title says, my buddy is having problems with his swap. he has a s5 N/A which has a s5 t2 swap. his ?? is that with the n/a harness by the ecu connectors there are two extra connectors which plugs in with a different harness inside of the car. and the jdm harness only has one. he wants to know if anyone has done this before and would it work rite? also the jdm harness did not come with the window wiper motor connector also how can you convert the harness to make the window wiper work? any help or info will help thanks again.

I don't know about the s5's, but on an s4 car it's easier just to use the n/a harness.

I've done this swap..

in my case tho, I pulled the dashboard out.. and converted the whole thing JDM main and engine harness..

the JDM harness has the wiper connector

but it's on the other side of the harness..

in ur case.. try to get some pics to show us what ur talking about..,

u are using the T2 ecu right?

The post above says it all. The JDM EM harness won't have wiper wiring and I THINK no cruise wires in it.

Tell your friend that he might throw away the JDM EM harness and reinstall the non turbo EM harness. There are few wire diff in a non turbo S5 EM harness and the Turbo EM harness. It's easier to work out those few wires than fiddle with the JDM EM harness.

Just an opinion and nothing more or Less.

he can just plug in the jdm harness... the only thing he'll need to wire in is the wipers... just take apart the na harness and use the plugs off it to run the wipers.. you can either cut and splice or depin and repin for a clean swap... that's what i've done several time with no problems..

you have to cut the na harness open.. and follow the wires back from the wiper plug back to the other plug. take a picture or take notes of where the wires go into the second plug inside the car. you can either cut the wires or de-pin them... then cut the jdm harness and run the na wiper harness/wires with the jdm harness.. re-route everything and wrap everything up... hope that explains it... haha it's so much easier being there and showing someone.. lol

ok the top photo is the jdm harness it only has one connector that plugs into the harness inside of the car.

the U.S. N/A harness has two connectors that plugs into the harness inside of the car. will there be any problem b/c the jdm harness doesnt have the second connector? also what is the second connector for? does it connect to the wiper motor?

yeah, second connector is wiper motor hook up... that's the one you'll need to remove and install into the jdm harness.. other than that it's plug n play!!

Wiper wires are Blue/Red, Blue/White, Blue/Yellow, Blue, Blue/Orange. See the free download of the series five wiring that is Free and online.

What color are the OTHER wires in that plug. How many sockets in the plug?
