JDM S5: should this be connected to anything?

Still trying to work out why my JDM TII S5 won't start. While I was taking off the injectors and fuel rail I found this connector not attached to anything. It is next to the primary rail on the front side of the car.

Should it be connected to anything, and if so, what? I'm really hoping it might be something important and the reason my car is misfiring and not want to stay started.

Nope. My S5NA USDM has the same plug. Doesn't go to anything.

Based on how your primaries look make sure they are all in the hole correctly. And since it's a JDM swap you'll need to switch the fuel lines from the USDM way

Thanks for letting me know it doesn't go anywhere, although it wasn't really the news I wanted to hear!

oh. usually don't pay attention to that. Make sure the injectors sit in their holes correctly. I screwed up my T2 once and didn't set them in there and it would start and run like *** and die

Will keep that in mind - thanks. Really trying to double and triple check everything while the UIM is off.

This plug goes on the back of the water pump housing. Under the hose that the coolant goes from the bac valve there are two sensors. Its one of the two at the bottom. The other one of the engine harness is a square one and if i remember correct its green in color.

If the car was running right I wouldn't be worried. But I'm looking for reasons why it's not.

The sensor that this plug connects to on the back of the water pump housing, is the sensor for the auxiliary small electric fan that is for the A/C infront of the radiator.
