JDM engine/tranny question

I got a JDM engine/tranny. Am i going to have a problem with the actual shifting of the tranny? will it be backwards to me? or will everything still sit where im used too, since everything is on the other side of the car in japan im thinking the shifter is going to have first on the other side as well.

Is there a way to fix this so that it will shift like it normaly does in america?

There is no difference between JDM and ADM transmissions. They are the same.

Shift patterns are the same, gear ratios in the JDM are shorter. For details, search.

Ok so my 1st and 2nd gear are still going to be the closest to me and 5th and Reverse are still going to be the farthest from me?
