jdm ecu in usdm s5 TII, what do I need to make it work?

I am getting another fc and It is coming with a stock ecu and he has a jdm one as well that is chipped but when he plugged it in it didnt work. I have been told my pressure sensor needs to be jdm and my maf sensor? does that sound correct? I kinda thought that it would be a direct swap.
