James Bond used to own my car

well i just bought Turbo II, i got it home and notices soem weird hoses running around,,there was a line full of oil that ran from the washer fluid tank, then into the car where there was ashut off valve then it ran into the intake manifold.

the only thing i can think of is that this "genius" had made a smoke screen setup,,,and man does it smoke

now i have removed all of this crap and have gotton the car to idle,,,but it still smokes like a big bitch

did that retarded setup ruin something,,,or is it the oil seals,,i let it run for a long time,,it should have burned out all the oil that is in it,,it still smokes real bad

if anyone can help let me know

Dude:
who knows how much oil was in there? and that stuff takes sometime to fully burn off. I would recommend a compression test.

well i recently started it again and the smoke wasn't as bad,,so maybe it is burning out,,,i sure hope so,,,but it had been sitting for approx. 2 years before i got it

so couldn't dried oil seals also cause it to smoke?

i hope i don't find any more "007" mods

all i gotta say is what a freaking moron

i will keep trying with it,,it may run good for me after all

Yeah, the idea of the James Bond smokescreen has been around for a while, I didn't know of any one who had actually done it though.
So it works off the windshield fluid reservior? Like whenever you went to wash your windows instead a big cloud of smoke came out the back?
I would re-attach it and just fill the res. with water. Its a great way to convienently steam-clean your engine and rid yourself of pesky tailgaters

OMP=Oil Meter pump

Its mounted between and below the air pump and the water pump. Four white plastic lines run from it to underneat your intake to feel oil injectors 4 separate oil injectors in concert (4 part harmony?) with your fuel injectors.

Its a bad thing if its not operational, as in soon to make your engine toast.

So

So hey. I can inject a small amount of water in to make a smoke screen. Would a fish aquarium a buble nozzle(adjuster) be good enough.
Wouldnt the water need to be in a spray fashion not a stream. A stream might cause flooding or liquid lock. Dont you think.

Was that washer tank mounted on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine compartment, just beneath the back edge of the hood? If so, that's the "cold start" tank. It injects a little bit of washer fluid into the engine to help get it going when the ambient air temperature drops below freezing. I'm not sure how/why this works, but that's why it's there. Shouldn't have oil in it, though - Just washer fluid. Be sure you drive around with the sunroof open all the time in case the previous owner put a 007 ejector seat in, too!

The cold start tank should have anti-freeze in it not washer fluid, atleast I think it was anti-freeze. Mine was green and I believe I read somewhere on the forum that it was anti-freeze.

Mazda came out with a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) that recommends to disconnect the sub-zero assist injection crap.&nbsp The valve (at the base of the lower intake manifold) has a tendency to leak and cause a nasty vacuum leak.

Yank the bottle and cap the hoses and unplug the wiring harnesses that lead to it.&nbsp If you want to be ambitious, you can pop the upper intake manifold and remove the valve sitting on the lower intake manifold.&nbsp You'll need to make a block-off plate to cover the hole afterwards.

no this was the windshield washer res.,,,i have already removed the sub zero system,,,it looked like it had been unhooked for ages though.

and it is official,,,either old man time(sat for 2 years) or 007 fudged over the engine,,i let it run for what had to have been about an hour today and the smoke never did let up. so i began dismatling it.

i just have to afford the rebuild
