Where do you jack up your car in the front? When I use a floor jack I end up bending the little thing where they say to jack it up.

 

Where the Haynes manual tells me too.

 

Does the lip on yours get bent?

 

Rear diff.... and there is a cross member just behind the front undertray

 

The proper jacking point is under the front crossmember. If you're jacking it up from the side, cut a slot in a square piece of 2x4 to put between the jack and the rocker panel. That way the lip fits into the slot and doesn't get bent.

 

He said the front......... Icemark has posted this a couple of hundred times. Check the FAQ and search..................

yeah dude it shows that u use the side skirt area to jack it up. it doesnt list any other way to do it. only using the stock jack which is ****. it doesnt offer how to do it using a floor jack in the haynes manual.

 

How do you get 200+ posts and not know how to jack up a car. I used to gauge the knowledge of a poster by the number of posts he has (don't trust a guy with 3 posts who says it doesn't matter what order the spark plug wires go). Now my world is turned upside down.

beep777 why does it matter if someone only has 3 posts? maybe they know a lot and are new, or they dont get on here a lot or **** like that. i dont think its fair of you to make stupid assumptions
