J-specc

Hi all I'm new to the forums and just currently bought an 1988 RX-7 GX 2+2... just wondering if anyone could give me some info on where to get a J-spec motor and JDM Taillights

There is no such thing as J-spec taillights.

Your motor is non-turbo.
All J-spec motors are turbo'd.
Please read the stickies / FAQ about doing this conversion correctly.
It involves a lot more than you think.

im not doing the swap myself and i realize my motor is N/A im gettin a professional who works on rotaries every day to help me

a friend and well respected rotary enthuist(sp?) in my city well know for his work by the way since hteres nothing about motors will 89 taillights fit an 88?

Yep - might have to cut a small piece of metal off the body, though. Search for the writeup.

I once had a friend whos friends best friends cusin who did JDM swaps there like 20% harder.

Only the Infini engine, and I believe that was mostly exhaust related. The main reason to get a j-spec is because they are cheap and usually low milage, but you dont know the ocndition of the motor for sure. That or you want a MaD tYte JDM car, yo!!

jdm motors run from 600-1200 about 300 shipping to florida from canada lol where we get ours from
