Question ive got a question about a body mod/photoshop request

ive been playing around with the idea about shortening the front end and taking out some of the extra 6ft of space between the motor and front bumper, i know im not the only one who's noticed this massive amount of space and thought about it..

has anyone done it? i haven't been able to find any pics or posts, so i guess im requesting a photoshop of what it would look like.

*bonus question*
another thing i was looking at were carbon fiber hoods and i was wondering why most dealers charge more ($50-$100) for a N/A over a turbo hood, kinda seems like the mold would be easier to use and it would take less material for an N/A, so why the price increase?

thanks for reading, i love you guys <3

Why bother shortening the nose of the car? Just leave it alone and enjoy it.

Too much re-engineeriung in my opinion, than the rear end would end up looking huge!

WOW. Just sell the rx7. Get a smart car. They have short hoods. And a short rear end too. Infact it looks like a golf cart.

Agreed...waste of time. If you had the time/money/drive to do it you would just do it without asking us or caring about what we think, because nobody here will agree with what you're trying to do.

Like they say. You can do anything If you put your mind to it. But why would you mess with a perfect design of the 80s. just makes no sense.

Rx7 is too hard to pronounce.(stay with me..)
He wants to cut the Front off it and just call it a 7.
But I have the feeling it will be a zero.

seriously? all so negative... none of you have ever thought the nose seems a bit too elongated? im just thinking like 6 inches, put an electric fan on, move the radiator support back a few inches and make it look tightened up, you know... take out the unnecessary gaps. you can clearly see the space in a cleaned up engine bay...

this is the best i could do with MS paint, you can't tell me that doesn't look a little better and more uniform.. only a few unnecessary inches

I think the car you're looking for is a first gen MR2. I'm sure you can stuff a nice 12A in there, but a custom transaxle would be needed.

Doesn't look too bad, and might turn out well.
I personally like the length of the nose.

As far as the physical work, I can't imagine it being too difficult.
My buddy I went to school with took 6 or 8 inches out the WIDTH of a mid 80's silverado and shortened It by at least a foot.

Of course the rx7 is a unibody vehicle, not body over frame.

ive been looking at some, although ive never thought about putting a rotary in a mr2... might be a nice project later on in life

i generally like a wide range of 80's cars, but the rx7 sticks out at me the most, one of these days i will have my dream 15 car garage <3

and freakkk... wow.. those are some... unique looks,
