My wife made fun of me because I took a picture of it when it rolled over to 175,000 lol. I told her she didn't understand how cool it was to hit that on the original engine, tranny, and rear-end. Especially since I don't baby it at all, and it's pushing a little more HP than stock (well, more RWHP than it was rated with at the flywheel originally).

My friend has an original engine/driveline 88TII and it's at like 185k miles. It died once for about 3 years, but then the last owner gave it to him for free and ATF trick got it running again

Yah, not only that, the one time I was thinking about selling my RX-7 (so she could have something more "practical" to drive when I have to take her car) she freaked out and made me take it off the boards where I was trying to sell it Evidently she really likes it too.

And no, she's not fat or ugly

Wow, that's a lot of miles on a turbo. Very impressive, especially not completely stock.

Voice of skepticism: How sure are you it's the original engine?

133,000 and a new motor is going in, she was the victim of a blown coolant seal and sitting with open ports

My friend sold a TII with the original engine in it at 179K. Not modded, just an old style RB catback. It had 90-94psi on all rotor faces. Sweeet.

I like hearing about long lasting OE engines
