Intermittent NO START but is not flooding

WOW! Even the Mazda dealer can't figure this one out.
My 1988 GTU 5 Speed will occaisionally not start, but not due to flooding. No fuel seems to be getting past the injectors. New fuel pump (twice) new filter and fuel lines...still does it...did it today....when it sits for a while it will start just fine....HELP ! !

Is the power getting to the injectors? Could be a bad wiring harness?

My friends 7 does the same thing...
He even couldn't get it to start at for like a week, so he drove his backup. He ended up replacing the battery, it still wouldn't start. Then I said, "let me try" and turned it over no problems.

He... go figure.
