Interlock Relay Wire or Harness problem

Interlock Relay Wire or Harness problem
hi there, okay ive diagnosed my problem
it exists after the relay, and before the S connection (small clip) on my selinoid.
so its either my wire,
or my connection is the harness...
we cleaned the male connections in the harness....
what else should i do?
is it okay to cut the wire, and wire it outside of the harness?
how do i test to see if my female side is working?
is it possible to replace just the female plug?
i need my car running asap
so i cant afford to wait for the harness to arrive/ be shipped.
any ideas?

About the connectors:
Sometimes you can squeeze the plug enough to tighten the connector inside.
I have had good luck with spray contact cleaner.
I have even fabricated repair plugs using putty epoxy.

IF by the smallest chance you think the Interlock switch is kaput, then remove the plug from the switch. Jumper the two wires together and start the car.
Don't mistake the clutch switch for the interlock switch. The interlock switch has a black/green wire and a black/red wire. The lower clutch switch has a yellow/blue and a black/yellow wire. So don't mess with the clutch switch.
If the starter solenoid goes click, click and only starts after several tries, and you cleaned you battery terminals and the power wire to the starter, it might be the ignition switch itself. Maybe, maybe not.
FYI......some early 86-87 cars did not have a Interlock switch for starting. One of my cars is like that.

ill try squeezin the plug together, and wigglein it around.... until i can get a new harness... ill let you know if it works...
its defenity the harness conecting the interlock to the Small connector on the selinoid.... or its the wire itself/ plug that goes onto the selinoid....
batterry is good, full charge...
+ wire on selinoid has .2v loss...(not a concern)
black wire that i belive has the problem is getting between .052v and .50v
so we've pretty much descided that its the wire or the harness itself... because the interlock is making contact....
to the comment there is not interlock relay.... im reffering to the interlock itself...
i sappose switch would have been a more direct word... but as long as everyone knows that box im talking about.,
ill let you know... thanks for filling me in with the color codes... on them wires
is WD-40 a sufficent contact cleaner?
is that okay to spray into the female side of my harness?
