Interior lights come on when I press the brakes...

Ok, so I go to add an aftermarket radio into the vert.... Well, I, being a dick, grounded the radio to the red/black wire that you arent supposed to use. Well, the radio worked the entire day, but kept turning off whenever I used the lights... Well, it wasnt until l8ter that night (a couple hours later) and a blown fuse for interior lights that I realized what the issue was so I snatched out the radio and redid it. Now, everytime I press the brakes, the interior lights turn on and the car beeps (as if there is a short or something.) Anyone experience this?

sounds like you have quite the project on your hands. i think the previous owner decided he knew how to rewire things on that car. i would suggest taking a weekend off and tracking all the wiring behind the dash and looking for anything that looks to be tampered with. have fun. ha.

I'm Jealous!

My vert interior lights don't work at all since some ******** thieves made off with my radio.

lol... yea, its not much of an issue now... But it concerns me b/c in my mind it seems like one of those problems that might route to something else... Besides these two issues (the brake lights and the top) the car is nice. Not one dent. Mediocre paint job that will be easy to repaint... The only thing I dont like are the rims... I will get pics soon.

Lol... sorry bro... you win... lol... but at least your car doesnt **** on you when it rains... lol...

Chaos and Dragon= did you check the fuses? B/c mines didnt work at all because the fuse was blown at first. Check the fuses with a test light and not but eyesight because my fuse had a hairline crack in it that I really couldnt see well checking my all of the fuses on the side of the road w/ a state trooper flashing a light on me... Yes, I did get pulled b/c my back lights didnt work... Talk about a fun day...

The interior lights are powered by the Room fuse. This is the same fuse that powers the constant/memory wire for the radio.

The brakes are not to the same circuit.

If you had a S5 it is possible for the two circuits to cross in the Clock/warning panel.

Fuses should be the first thing checked.
