Uhm..no. Read up on what an intercooler is used for, and youll know why. The compressed air from a turbo /super-charger is very hot, due to the heat produced from the compression of the air. It passes through the intercooler to cool it down. The intercooler uses ambiant air passing through the fins to dissapate heat from the compressed air. With a N/A engine, the intake air is already at ambiant temperature, so no cooling would take place.

You should probably understand what an intercooler is for before you even start thinking about buying one.

Much less if its an N/A. *chuckle*

Besides cooling the intake air to near ambient temperature, it is most efficient if you use it with a blowoff valve. On a naturally aspirated car, when you shut the throttle, the air still wants to go into the engine. With a blowoff valve you can vent this excess air to the atmosphere to help protect your intake system and the intercooler. I wish you guys could see the tears in my eyes from laughing while im writing this.

I think you should do a write up on the installation of the intercooler on your N/A. We could archive it so everyone will know how to do it. Please get some dyno results when you are done.

We just don't like answering questions when complete common sense can answer it. If you did your research than you'd probably get a whole lot nicer response.

Sorry for the sour response- its just too funny. Its like asking what upgraded camshafts would do for your FC.

listen, im gonna go out on a limb here and say that you are a 16 year old kid who just got a junky rx-7, and you want to hook it up so you can get the bitches, and be mad phat crazy cool just like vin deisal was in that god forsaken movie. If that is the case, then I will continue to make fun of you. If you are serious about learning about cars, then you would have sat and read up on rx-7's, rotary engines, internal combustion engines, turbo charging, etc. you could have gone to a speed shop and talked to the guys that have modified their cars and asked what they did, and why they did it. but you didnt. you just came on this board and started posting stupid questions. If you even knew the smallest bit about turbo charging you would have known why wanting to put an intercooler on a NA engine was so funny. Am I an a$$hole? yes, most definately. If you really want to learn about 7's, then I will be more than happy to explain to you all that I know, or at least refer you to someone or someplace where you can find the answer. If you want to be a punk ricer, ask dumb questions, and put electric turbos on your car, then I will continue to laugh at you.

sorry bout all the flames... i know the board can be rough. Just do your reading before you post something like that. It's considered common knowledge.

I'm doing some math here.... crap... need to go graet some cheese for the gf's pizza. Our automatic engion driven grater is busted and sounds like a broken sterio...

What mods do you have? Not including your wheels...
