im pretty sure its not relaly going to effect cooling effieciency whatsoever, there may be a slight change in Intake temp but not enough to notice.

If it is still top mount! Yes it is going to seriously affect cooling, If it is front mount the lack of this will improve it's cooling! If you still have this in the stock top mount location the hood scoop will not seal to the intercooler forcing the air through it, if it isn't there the air will simply just go arround the intercooler and very little air will make it through the intercooler to cool the charge air temp! A stock TII would easily take a Del Sol!

if you are refering to the aluminium part that has the turbo intercooled... or whatever... yes you can just install one back onto the intercooler. you could also just buy one they are usually on ebay... or on the for sale section... it will bolt right back into the stock location... you should also make sure that you have the little rubber surround wherer the hood scoop is supposed to mate with the intercooler otherwise once again won't work as well but will work better than without the aluminium part arround the intercooler.

hey some civics can be quite fast and a del sol weighs in at close to or under 2K with 168 horsepower can be quite a quick car. plus i just got the turbo and am used to my slower N/A and haven't been able to race because there 6 inches of snow on the ground
but hey thanks for the advice any way guys

are you kidding me?!?! The del sol may not look like it weighs a lot but it does! It's curb weight taken off of edmunds.com is 2522 lb. Because of the targa top, Honda gave it some extra reinforcement in the front.
