car won't run under 1500 rpm

Finished putting my rebuild in my TII and it starts and idles fine. Anything under 1500 rpm makes it want to shut off. The way it dies is as instant as if someone turned off the ignition. Any ideas on why it wants to cut off like this? I checked for codes and there weren't any.

That's normal for a fresh rebuild. Set the hard stop (8mm nut with set screw inside it) on the idle to 1500 rpm. As your engne wears in the new seals it will get better compression and you can gradually turn it down to a lower rpm. I'm at just 1100 miles on my rebuild and it's down to 750 rpm. Don't run it hard til breakin is over cause you are not burning all your fuel and it will run the turbo real hot.
