Intercooler for Camden Supercharger
I have a Camden Supercharger and want to run 12 pounds of boost. It runs a little warm with that much boost, so I want to put on an intercooler.
Has any one done this? Has any one done this? I don't know much about intercoolers so any help would be appreciated.

I think the only way to do it with that kit would be to use an auxiliary injection system to cool the charge. For more info on it look in the aux. injection section of this forum.

You really can't add and intercooler with the way the LIM is, water or alky injection is your best bet (like that last poster said)
or you could sell the kit and go turbo and net more HP

You may want to look at www.zzperformance.com They build W-A IC for GTPs which are based on M90 Roots blowers. I believe the 7" camden blower is an M90. In that case the bolt placement should be the same or similar. It involves placing a core under the blower between it and the intake manifold and running the water through it then through a heat exchanger.
The other option you can look at is the lanova (sp?) cores used in the Cobalt SS. They are tubular with fins, and are a straight through design. With a roots blower you will definitely need to intercool or do water injection to increase the boost much more.

I sent zzperformance an e-mail and hopefully they can confirm the bolt pattern. Thanks for the tip!
Now I am wondering about doing both the IC and the AI. Reading some things on the AI section, and I am definitely intrigued.

aftercooler = intercooler. just a different term.
AI is fantastic. It helps cool the charge, it burns and the liquid helps to seal the rotors better so the efficiency of the blower goes up a little. You just have to be sure to keep an eye on the alcohol level. Bad day when you are at full boost and you run out of alcohol.

Yeah, meth injection is truly amazing from what I have seen of it. On BDC's car it lowers the intake charge enough so that he can run an effective 25 pounds of boost on a stock TMIC.
And just just use a fuel cell with a low-level sensor in it tell you if its getting low.

Yea, I read BDC's blogs and never came accross a better seal comment. It is awesome though from what I have been reading. I am a little concerned though that it seems a little new, though it has apparently been around for years.

No, supercharger rotors.
