I'm not gonna be a jerk, but that C5 most likely had something wrong with it if he was in fact racing. I believe you that you raced one though. For a well running C5 (BTW all 97+ models are the C5), they will usually mop the floor with even the most modded N/A FC's unless you have a power adder like N2O (and they are tough to beat even with that). You should line up next to another one and try again to be sure.

If you really want to win do mods that matter, not spending 2k+ on seats and coilovers. for that you could have a new ported motor, or almost swap in a t2 motor, or have a 75 shot of nitrous and 1500 extra bux to spend on exhaust, a super AFC and dyno time.

with just a header ive beeten one riced out teg by alot, but had another stick even with me for a bit, and eventually walk on my by a few car lengths, so it will be close stock. But if you spend your money wisly insted of blowing it on coil overs and seatas, you can beat him easy.
