Well,
0-60 times for a stock RS is about mid 7's and a GS-R is low 7's. A S5 would be around the same area. It would ultimately depend on the driving ability.
My friend has a 95 RS (lightest integ besides type R) w/ SRI and exhaust. I think his teg came stock w/ 142 hp. His a pretty capable driver and so am I. I was driving my 86 NA w/ straight pipe and intake. I got him from the launch and he never inched closer until i let off at around 100km, but he said that he had a bad start cause he was rolling down his windows. I bet him by about 3/4s of a car length so i think it woulda been about even.
If its a GS-R w/ all the mods done to it. ... I would give the slight edge to him ... but urs is a S5, so its up to you to out drive him
Good luck

eh, if you really want to show him that rotaries rock, send the engine off and have it ported(good sized one, but socal and bridge = noes)
then fab your own intake and headers.
then get an aftermarket fuel computer, I doubt you'll need larger injectors yet.
but that's probably too much time, work and money.
you won't beat him with what you have now.

im gonna cry. i seriously thought i could take him.ok. complete breakdown list that i'll have before i race his punk ***.
1.Tein Type FLEX coilovers (are they lighter than the stock suspension?)
2.Mazdatrix down pipe, hiflow cat, HKS cat back.
3.Mazdatrix short throw.
4.Apex power intake and maybe cold air box)
5.Removal of spare tire, jack, and insulation.
6. Recaro Apex seat. (lighter than stock?)
7.Suspension Techniques Swaybars.
8.Gonna race with 1 pint of gas. also im gonna go on a diet and race naked. (to increase power to weight ratio)
so what do you think now ... seriously?
FC- 2623 lbs and 160hp@7000 rpm (stock)
Series 4's are lighter and have less HP and S5's are a little heavier and have that extra 12 or so ponies.
You mentioned you did a cat back but haven't done a cat or down pipe yet. Which means you are still really close to stock power levels. If you get a high flow cat or replacement pipe you shoud open up some good power.
Yo *** them dumb *** front wheel drives yo if u got a good to excellent clutch you,ll smoke him but u gotta heat those tires up and also get your rpms up cause you get more rpms then a piston engine and you got rear wheel drive so when u pop the clutch to launch all your weight gets transfered to the back while he loses traction u see everybody thinks front wheel drive is so great but its not kill him for all fcs.
AND
You do not really need to heat the tires on DOT ones. only on slicks. Don't bother doing a burn out you'll just waste tread.
You have also never seen some fast FR cars. My friend has a mid 90's hatch civic which ran 12.7's on 125 shot and then 12.2's with a turbo engine running 6psi daily.
It looked bone stock other than an exhaust too.
I thikn you'll hang with the "Teg" or get beat.
If you asking this question in the first place then I think you know the answer.
If he's in a car club you run the chance of him actually knowing his **** and being a better driver(straight line shiter
).Like I posted in the other Integra verses FC thread(like 3 days ago) it depends on you and the well being of your car.
My 88 SE ran a 17.4 and that's after I perfected the launch(then broke the diff mount
)My 88 GTU ran a 17.0
I have seen ppl run 16.5 and stuff though.....
while on the topic, my friend has a 99 v6 mustang, which is around 195hp. a friend of a brother of a friend has an rsx-s. my friend thinks he can beat him in his mustang and i keap tyring to tell him he will get killed. and the guy in the rsx can ******* drive. he was on this circuit thing racing some sort of small nascar type car and placed first or second in his league.
so my question is, how bad will he get beat.

i beat a number of riced out civics and integras in my S5 N/A.... along with a Porsche 944, C5 Corvette, Modded Chevy Malibu, Celica GT, and a few dsms (n/a). I have a mild street port, full 2.5" exhaust w/ header, high flow cat, dual 4.5" tips, centerforce stage I clutch, rebuilt engine, and suspension upgrades. So, It will really depend on ur driving, and what he really has done. But good luck. If all else fails, make excuses. :-)
first of all to fc3sdrifting. the nsx will absolutly kill the mustang by to much to say, and second the c5 vette runs like a stock 13.3 quarter??? or somewhere close?? it is hard to see a s5 na with a port, full exaust, and some suspension ups to come out on top, if you have some track slips it will be easier to swollow

For the topic on hand, if this guy has a lightly modified '94+ GS-R and you have a lightly modified S5 N/A, you're probably looking at a loss assuming he's a good driver. His car is both lighter and has more power.
I raced a turbo WRX not too long ago not knowing what to expect, it looked pretty mean, had the hks blow off, turbo xs stuff and all the body work on it, any way i lost by a car length and i have a 86 N/A Rx-7, i am proud of myself.
All i have to say is that my friend has a GSR and i have an 86 NA....we were on the freeway going about 40 so we could get a good run and he takes off almost passing me when i downshift and i pass him up...we went about two freeway exits and i had him by two car lengths....it really depends on the driver.....
i am going to start taping all of the races i do, the wrx i raced is getting a larger turbo installed in it. i dont know how big tho.
I would like to get a 20B engine put into my FC then i would be able to blow everyone away in my town. The WRX is the talk of the town, "fastest car in town"
