Intakes

im not planning on modding my car any time soon besides suspension, but i was wondering why no one makes a cold air intake for the FC? i see them for the turbo cars but not for the n/a's all i see for them is just a plain old k&n

1 company makes them, Checkpoint Engineering. Too bad they want like $230 for a K&N on a peice of mandrel bent tubing.

youll find out that major name brand companies price thier cold airs the same price..... its usually 90 bucks for the short ram and 100 for the cold air extension....mine was about 30 bucks care of homedepot racing....

Its a tube with a filter on the end.
Not that hard.
Take off old platic. Attach straight tube and cone air filter. Done.

there really wasy to make. i had a cold air on my 86 and im making another one for my 88. just tubing from the mass air into a hole. and a filter on the other end

The closest one is a 91-94 mitsubishi eclipse or a mazda protege 5.... you cut the piping to fit to the car....it is a fairly easy way to make a cold air but its still around 200 bucks unless you can find a cheap knock off cold air maker... usually on ebay

i thought u had to have the reg air intake because of the air flow meter..i thought u had to have the afm in the intake or else the car will start and die in like 4-5 seconds...

Ya thats true. But you can still run tubing from the AFM to wherever you want to without a problem.

I've gone to Home depot looking for tubing that would work and couldnt find anything.
