Intake resurfacing?
i have a lower TII intake that i ported to match the 6 port block. i welded the flange on it with aluminum so i could port it and i think this whole time my car has been a no start/no run problem is because i warped the intake flange when i welded it. what is the best way to resurface the flange to make sure that is is 100% flat/flush to the block?

are there any big name shops you know of that would be in indy or close by? i could probably take it to a place that does head resurfacing right?

here is an update:
car- 91 s5 N/A chassis
engine- 86 s4 N/A block
lower intake- 87 TII ported to match 6 port N/A block
the bolt pattern on the N/A vs. TII intake is different. TII has the extra bolt hole that goes through the top middle of the inner intake ports and the N/A does not have this. should i just stick to the N/A bolt pattern for the TII lower intake or should i tap the hole in the block for the extra bolt for the TII intake? i ask this because i put 3 qts of oil down the lower intake ports to lube up the apex seals just in case they were sticking, spun the motor by hand, and noticed that the oil leaked through the top of where the intake meets the block. seems to me that the extra bolt hole needs to be bolted down to seal properly. i also removed the lower port below the inner intake ports on the TII lower intake so that it would be a direct fit. can i just leave that port there or will this cause my s4 block to leak because it does not meet up?

now what about the port below the two inner ports? do they need to match up or can i put an s5 intake on an s4 and there be no problems?
