Intake Replacement from BNR Supercars? Anyone try it?

I just took a look at the BNR Supercars website and I see that they have a complete intake replacement for
86-91 FCs. I'd just like to know has anyone had any experance with this product or have you bought from BNR. I'd really like to know. I want to get rid of the stoke one. Let me know.....

Thankx

are you talking about this?
BNR Supercars Tubular Intake Systems

2nd Generation

86-91 Non-turbo- Full intake replacement for maximum intake efficiency! The pipe is 3.5" aluminum mandrel set up that replaces rubber section between the air flow meter and the throttle body adapter. Kit comes with all mounting hardware, filter adapter, pipe and a K&N filter, no imitations! Pictures available soon!

Price: $209

87-91 Turbo II- Full tubular intake system for maximum intake efficiency! Comes with a aluminum mandrel pipe from the turbo to the air flow meter. Also comes with a filter adapter, turbo inlet adapter, and K&N filter, no imitations! Noticeable gain in performance! Very nice looks to go along with the performance! Pictures available soon!

Price $209
If so its just a replacement for the plastic tube, and would not yeild much more HP than just the K&N filter on the stock A/F meter.

I'm with 1Revvin7.... I don't know if it will give any performance increase. But It is still a good upgrade. the rubber tube on my ride is really old and may have a crack in it. Besides it may dress up the engine bay...

Holy crap!&nbsp That ****'s expensive (for the turbo)!&nbsp I've been messing with the TID design, and I can get the price down to at least $150.&nbsp Who the hell is going to spend $210 for it!?!?&nbsp Maybe I should get off my *** and hurry up production!

Why not just goto a muffler shop, have them mandrel bend a 3" pipe. Use reducers and connectors to mount to AFM and turbo. I got a muffler shop to make me a 2.5"-3" for 2 dollars (bout 6" long). Then polish the metal, have it powdercoated, whatever. All for less than $50.

Hey Ted, you should go into production. In my opinion you are one of the most valuable assets to this forum and I'd buy from you in a heart beat. Oh and guys please don't flame me for the above statement. Others are valuable also, but I think Ted has proven his knowledge time and time again.
