Intake moddification idea. Kinda wacky but just bored and thought it might work...

Fuel injectors are almost always mounted right at the end of the intake manifold runners, firing straight into the ports. Do you know where the injectors on a 13B are? The primaries aren't even in the manifold, they're in the engine!
And to be called direct injection the fuel must be injected directly into the chamber. If it's injected upstream of the port opening (the valve on piston engines) then it's called indirect injection.
i can see the reason that it wouldn't need to be cast rough but do the injectors and chamber automize the fuel well enough that a mirror finish can be applied?

I doubt there would be much power gain from it on a stock port N/A.....I believe the manifold is sufficent to 250-300 hp.... though a smoother intake may speed up the air more resulting in more power, and if you guys are really concerned about mixing the fuel get a tornado, it may acutaly help.

This might be off the track (as i think you guys are talking about n/a's) but what about porting thhe intake manifold on a 88 s4 t2 ???
I'm interested in the idea,
but the only info that i could find about porting the s4 t2 intake was that it was'nt a good idea.
Has anyone out there done a intake port job on their s4 t2.......similar to the one done on the N/A in the archives???
What were the results???
