intake manifolds- rough polish or paint flat black?

First off the car is black

Ive always liked the look of a black motor, just has a sinister feel to it, but since the whole car is black, that may be overkill, kinda just one big blob of nothingness.

so should i do a rough polish on the manifolds instead? opinions....

I have both.

Polished looks cool but is a pain to keep clean. Oh, and a pain in the *** to actually do.

Black with accents looks pretty good.

Trying to find pics of the polished look.

Redo the entire engine in chromeeeeeeeee...

Not really though.

I'd go with the polished look, but it takes a lot to keep it clean.

Here's an idea - Ceramic coat. Available in black or chrome. Function > Form

why do you think this??? The actual coating will effect heat disbursement, not the color.

For example chrome and black chrome powder coating both will retain just as much heat as each other.

The black is a metallic flake I think rustoleum.

The blue is Duplicolor Metalcast silver base coat and blue top coat.

Powder coating would result in a much stronger paint.

The metalcast stuff has been pretty damn good.

It's on my wastegate actuator so it's hit with heat and oil/grime.
