intake manifold porting/street porting
Hi everyone. I am planing on a streetport and intake porting/intakemanifold port match for a 87 tII with these mods
tb port and butterfly removal
720 sec injectors
walbro pump
3 inch tid
intake
3 inch turbo back
safcII
fcd
I was wondering if anyone has pics of a good example of a good street port and intake manifold port. What shape should they ported at and should it be abrupt or more smooth ports?? This is something I would really like to do and I also plan on port matching the turbo manifold as well or at least porting it out some more. I checked nopistons.com but could not find any help, pics or good instructions. All i mostly saw was people arguing about what a race port and bridgeport are and should look like and how they are too aggressive/not aggressive enough. Thanks for any info.

when im porting turbo parts i think of the air and fuel as if they were water flowing and smooth and aggressive is good. just dont port towards the water jackets or oil rings, and to prevent overlap with the exhust dont port the bottom area of the street port on the castirons just use the side seal and oil ring wear as ure templete expand the port upwards, and on the rotor housing port downwards, not to much upwards to prevent overlap. any more questions happy to help

Be very careful when doing the primary ports as there isn't much meat before you hit the water jacket. Blend up heavily, don't actually increase the size of the port bowl.
intake manifold port.
