Intake mani question?
Trending Topics
I am doing a blow through carb on a 13b, and I am trying to get away with using the stock turbo manifold. This is going into a 1st gen and there is not enough room for a spacer like the ones the N/A - turbo guys are using. Also the stock exhaust manifold places the turbo too close to the engine to use a weber or the full dellorto manifold.
BUT, racing beat makes an upper half manifold that holds the dellorto/weber style side drafts and bolts to the second gen 6-port lower half. My theory is that if the turbo and N/A manifolds can be mixed then the Dellorto/Weber upper half would also fit the tubo lower half.
Does any of this make sense?

Okay I will ask this a more simplistic fashion. What is the differance between the turbo and the N/A, upper to lower intake manifold gasket? (bolt pattern, port location)

Blue t2's gasket purchase suggestion is probably the best way to find out.
the difference is huge. the NA sixport UIM has the intake runners spaced alot more than the the turbo LIM. It's a good idea but you would need a helluva spacer to do this with and I think that would cut down on the performance you gain.
