Question Intake????

I am FINALLY getting around to purchasing an intake to replace my air box (obviously) What i want to know is what is hands down the best intake available for an '87 GXL. Looks dont even matter anymore, i just cant decide which one will give me best torque and HP.
Your input is appreciated

In my opinion I think HKS has the nicest setup. The adapter plate has a good fitment and is pretty thick compared to other manufacturers. The filter is alot nicer and more functional compared to the generic (Matrix,APC,etc) cone filters.

Except the HKS is a foam based filter which has been shown to disolve and leak when dirty.

We should sticky that article. It helped me decide on my apexi. I wanted the blitz but the apexi is cheaper and proved it worth. As for the HKS, I had it before and I have heard about the foam getting hard, breaking apart and getting sucked into the engine. Can anyone back me up on this?

HKS doesnt appear to do a very good job even when new. K&N is pretty much the cheapest and performed good enough for me.
