Insurrance on a TII?????

I dont believe that I cant afford a TII on insurrance so I'm was thinking of buying a N/A and converting it to a TII. Money isnt that much of a problem, because I'm getting a settlement from a car accident for about 20-30k from it. How much would It cost.
I pay $150 a month for liability only on a 92 Jeep Wrangler. So you can see were I am coming from. The rx7 will be liability only but I would like to get the motor in it before I tell my insurrance.
HELP ME PLEAZZZZ

for liability only it shouldnt even matter what model. Mine is like 500 every 6 months and I am only 18 with a clean driving record. Turbo or not starts to matter when you go full coverage, but for liability it should be about the same as the wrangler. Keep in mind that its an older car too. There is only a few dollars difference between my 87T2 and my 89 GMC Sierra.

There's a reason why it's high - THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO GET ONE!

You guys have it easy. There are no private insurance companies up here in BC so we have to pay out of our asses to ICBC.
$250 a month, ($3000 a year!!) with a 10% discount and medium coverage. Of course, thats on my maxima, Im afraid to see what a TII is going to cost me...

don't get just liability if you care about your car.. unless you TOTALLY can't afford it or it's a beater.. my buddy up here just got hit in Michigan (just got Michigan no-fault insurance too) and lost his '93 Civic Hatchback that he dumped a couple grand into, lost the car and the mods basically (it was rice, but it still was his $$), even though it wasn't his fault.

For me, with my '92 Civic as my primary driver, and to have an '87 TurboII (was gonna buy one) with full coverage just "on the policy" (nobody specifically rated on it) was about 500-600 per year.. that's for FULL coverage. Get a beater and do the same thing.

I pay $323/6 mo. for full coverage on my 87 TII... here in Illinois; the difference comes in it being a turbo... if U take a non-turbo and transform it; U might be able to get it past the insurance for a while, but if anything happens, and they learn that it was upgraded without the policy being upgraded, they will either charge U for the difference in the past coverage or not pay the claim at all and they will most certainly drop your policy after that...
AND it will be noted on their computer systems so that other companies(insurance) will know about it before issuing U a policy...
Best to just be up-front with your ins. agent... it will say U money and headaches in the long run.
