Installing a starter

I'm about to buy a new rebuild starter for like $79 and I was wondering how hard it is to install? Also if anyone knows of a decent starter install tutorial?

Thanks

1)disconnect the battery.
2)get under the car undo the 2 bolts that hold it.
3)undo the plugs and wires to starter.
4)pull out starter

now reverse that with your new one. Hope that helps.

That's about right, super easy. And I hate it when other people say this, but I know I just saw this very recently in this forum.

is your friend.

Talk about simple.

1) Remove starter.
2) repace with new starter.

It's super-obvious once you get under the car and look at it.

I'm not sure if Hayne's has a section for the starter (that'll help much), but get a Hayne's manual anyways. They're lifesavers.

90 odd kg's/6ft tall, skinny wouldn't be the word i'd use

It's damm easy when you know where the thing is..
All ya need is a 14mm spanner..
Putting it back in is a bit more fun, but if you slide the top bolt through then you can do the rest from in the engine bay.

I've replaced mine 4 times in as many months... i'm not kidding, i've had no end of troubles.
Finally bit the bullet and bought a reco'd one though.. alot more expensive but at least it works.
