Installed new secondaries...but it created 2 new issues...please help

Ok so me and 2 friends of mine after a hard workout finally got the new Fuel Injectors on. Everything seemed to be find after we put it all on so we take her for a spin. Nice gains and everything seems to be running fine.

We then leave to go out to eat. On the way back after exiting the highway my brakes lock up, then I noticed the car was idle'ing really hard. Keep in mind my brakes are gone. The brake pedal is like a brick wall! I finally get the car home in one piece by down shifting and using the ebrake.

It was dark outside so I took the intercooler off to get it all ready for tomorrow. But we started her back up before this and the brakes were still dead and the car wouldn't idle well at all...we had to give it gas or it would die.

Can anyone give any suggestions on what these 2 issues could be? We seems to think a hose came loose or the gasket for the throttle body is shot and causing the bad idling....we are clueless on the brakes tho.

This is on a 1990 Turbo II and we installed 2 720 secondaries.

Just a thought. On the brakes maybe you somehow unplugged one of the wires going to the ABS unit when you were changing the injectors. Its a long shot, but check it anyway.

Yeah I am thinking something may have gone loose.

I have a haynes manual and I am reviewing everything again. This hayne's manual is nice...but at the same time confusing because they call everything by a different name and only give small details about the turbo models.

i'd think it would be the big vac line going to the brake booster. If it came off you would have no help with braking, and with that big vac leak it wouldent idle.

Yeah he figured the problem out. I was with him when it happened. We were on the highway and he was getting on it when I heard a sound, it sounded like his blowoff valve but the turbo was still boosting. It turned out to be a vacuum hose popping off. Fixed and back to boosting!!! And CRAZY fast!

Yah everything is fine. Scary though luckily I know how to downshift or we would have had a problem.

I am going to go buy all Silicon hoses and replace all of those crappy rubber ones. I looked at the hose today that did come off and the clamp was secure at the end like it suppose to be....still have no clue how it came off that easy.

Anyway it was the brake booster line that caused the issue.
