rear wheel bearings?

Well, im hearing the typical “whoop, whoop, whoop” sound that the tires make after riding around on bad wheel bearings for a while. And im sure the sound is coming from the rear. The rear tires show a little bit of “cupping” too. I did a search on replacing the rear bearings but I haven’t found anything on them. It seems that the rears don’t go out to much with these cars (im new to this car, I just bought it the other week. It’s a 90’ GXL) im pretty sure it’s a bearing problem. At first I though the rear tow might be off, but when that happens, the tires usually ware quicker on one side and I didn’t have any of that. The tire balance could be off, but I think it’s the bearings. Anyone know how to replace the rear wheel bearings? Or think this problem is something else?

If your rear bearings are going, you will hear a loud turbine sound from the rear when you are driving. It really Is loud and annoying.I had to replace them due to my car being parked all winter and not being moved at all. That and old age.

You will have to have them pressed out which could be done with minimal space and tools.
