Installed exhaust, what to do w/this tube thing? *PIC*
I just installed a MT true dual exhaust. Everything went pretty smooth but now I have this tube that is just hanging there. It was attached to the thing which is in the pic. What is it and what should I do w/it? Right now it's just open.
Also, the exhaust blows a lot of white smoke when I got WOT. Is that normal?

air pump, cool thanks. i'm trying to keep everything together so that I can smog it next year. right now i would just have to unbolt the MT and bolt on the stock. if I leave that tube open will it damage anything?
White smoke is not normal. Usually it means you are burning coolant. If you are not losing any coolant, then maybe its just crap burning off inside the exaust.
Or if it was cold out it might be condensation, however if by Bay Area you mean SF Bay area then today it was not that cold.

so then its not burning coolant...drive it around for a few days and see if it goes away....leaving the air pump there will not do anything...but the missing back pressure will probably cause ur 5/6 ports not to open

I believe that tube is for s4's which use the backpressure to open the aux ports. I'd just have it plugged up/removed/or get a s5 silencer that doesn't have it.
Hey JT,
I think I met you with Will a few weekends ago.
I'm pretty sure that pipe is the split air pipe that pumps air from the airpump to the ACV. The 5/6 ports are controlled by the airpump on the s5 so you can either leave them on or I think other people have done some setups to activate the 5/6 ports without the airpump.

yeah, what's up man. thanks for the link. i emailed Will and he said the easiest thing to do would be to put a bolt in the tube.
the link is pretty detailed and in depth. i'll have to read it little more and see if that's something i could take on.
hows the t2 running?
