Question Inline or vented MBC?

I am installing a Manual boost controler but have been told to vent it to the engine baywith a T piece between the wastegate and turbo.

Should i be placing it inline with vac line between the wastegate and turbo?

most articles say inline like on the Turboxs.com site on how they install theirs but on othe like the auzzi wite they say it should vent to the engine bay

Jaff @ rotary power says it should vent to the engine bay. which i did and it does not work @ all.

Your '89T2 has a factory wastegate controller soelnoid mounted to the oil filler pipe. It has two lines on it, one going to the turbo inlet duct (the vent line) and the other tee's into the connection between the wastegate and the outlet of the compressor.

I would place your MBC accross these two lines and leave the factory solenoid electrically connected so you don't throw codes.

Both system work the same way: they 'leak' pressure between the turbo's outlet and wastegate's inlet to reduce the total overall effective boost singal used by the wastegate to open. The bigger the leak, the higher the boost must be to actually open the wastegate.

We've found running it inline as a "restricter" gets you better response.

sounds like you bought a bleed type and not a ball and spring. each one installs much different.
