Injectors and Pump Installed - Now No Fuel
Ok, well I just, today, had the chance to get it all back together (put the UIM , throttle body and intercooler back in, also blocked off the sub zero system, rewired my AWS valve, replaced one coolant line to the bottom of thre throtttle body and some other misc. stuff).
It was dark out by the time I got done so I figured I will wait till tommarrow to start it. I sure hope it fires up and purrs cause this is about the extent of my current capabilities. Thanks for the interest though, I'll let you know how it goes, I'll log on tommarow for sure.
Its been shitty here in NJ lately, not the kind of weather top work on a car outside, so I missed this place but I'm glad it looks like spring is coming back. Take care.

okay well yesterday was a bad day, no time for the RX7.
But today was better. I hooked up the jumper cables, let it charge for a bit then jumped the fuel connector thing to prime the fuel system, unjumped it and then cranke dit over. Sure enough it fired right up.
I'm almost positive it was the injector clips, only thing i can think of that would explain no fuel with new injectors and new pump. So it is running again. However I am back where I left off trying to solve that idle condition.
I made a short (1 min 15 sec) video off the car running, shots of the motor and the tach while idling.I'm gonna start a new thread with this vid so if u wanna help diagnose the propblem, or just watch the vid and make fun of me, or my car or whatever, feel free to check out.

Otherwise here's a pic from earlier today

yeah, I tried to do a decent job installing the new clips, had to learn how to solder in orderto do so but I think it turned out okay. I have two layers of different heat shrink tubing, and I used dielectric grease for the actualy pin connections, hopefully they will hold up for a while.
It really occured to me how bad this could be, those injector connections are the only link between the ecu and the injectors, if there's a break in that line , that means we're not getting fuel to the engine, could be bad to the point where it wouldn't start or it could be on and off, just making you run lean, slowly killing the motor. Mine I think were okay until I started moving the old brittle wires around and then they just fell apart.
But we seem better now. This is an easy fix that gives me piece of mind. Thanks for all your help guys...I'm in the middle of nowhere up in boondocks of Northwest Jersey and you guys are my only link to firsthand RX7 knowledge.....
