Injectors
Injectors
Hello,
I need to know some info on injectors. I am getting new ones and because my motor has a knight sports turbo and I need bigger injectors. So I called this place and they asked me what kind of injector tops are on the factory rx7 injectors and if they are High impedance or low impedance. I told him I would have to call him back I don`t know. So does anybody know what kind of injector tops are on factory fuel injectors and if they are High impedance or low impedance? Please let me know. Also does any body know what size of injector I should go with, I have the haltech e8 and I would like to run some boost at some point.
Thanks

Year? Model?
All FCs use top feed injectors. Impedence depends on the production date. 86-87.5 used low impedence, 87.5 - 91 used high impedence. Without knowing how big the knightsport turbo is, you're probably looking in the 4x 720cc or 720/1000cc range. It will vary depending on how much power you expect to make.

Also I forgot to ask what kind of injector plug is the rx7s injectors. The place told me two for a example like EV1 and EV2. I need to know this so I can tell him Monday.
Thanks

FYI you are totally out of your league with this project, and I recommend that you get some help from a local professional tuner before you really screw something up. I know that it may seem like you can save a lot of money by doing everything yourself, but some things are more complicated, dangerous, and expensive than others, and are better left to the professionals. This is one of them.
