injectors
is there anyway to check the conditon of your injectors? I feel like ive lost some power. I use injector cleaner all the time but i dont know how effective that stuff is. I have a 86 n/a gxl that will get a turbo thrown on this winter. Any suggestions on primaries and secondaries if i decide to fork out the cash?

You can flow test them per the FSM, or send them off to get flow tested on a bench by a professional.
If you replace the injectors for use with a turbo, the type, flow rate, and number of injectors will depend on your setup (turbo type, rpm, boost level, fuel pressure, etc.) and which standalone EMS you use. For road racing, it is better to have injectors which are close to the same flow rate (eg 4x550cc, 2x550 + 2x680, 2x680 + 2x720, etc.), but for drag racing you can get away with going cheap with a set of big secondaries or tertiaries (eg 2x460 stock primaries + 2x1600 secondaries, stock primaries & secondaries + extra rail with 2x550s, etc.). Just make sure that your standalone EMS can handle whatever injector setup you plan on using. Here is a good injector worksheet:
