Injector testing...

I have an 1990gxl that has a 1988 jspec t2 engine. It runs ******* RICH!!!! not just like, a little rich, i mean ******* RICH!!! i can clear $15 worth a gas a day just going to school and back. Its also down on power, it has bolt ons, but i rid in a stock t2 and it pulled way harder. I put it on the 5 gas at school and my A/f was 18+.

(now some of you maybe saying, well an a/f of 18, thats not rich, thats lean as hell...well i brought this up to my instructor, he explained to me, that my car is running so rich, unburnt air/fuel mixture is making its way to the exhaust, the fuel combusts, but the 02 makes it to the sniffer)

Now, im not realy sure whats causing this, since i havent gotten much help from the forum in the past. But i beleive 1, or more of my injectors my be leaky. Is there any way to test this, without pulling the UIM? thanx in advance.

well if you want to get your fuel injectors cleaned read http://www.witchhunter.com or http://www.rceng.com and decide which company to use.

BTW: have you pulled your injectors to look at them. I pulled mine about a week ago and notice one of my pintle caps was broken. Maybe you have something similar.

Explain this in greater detail, as it might hold clues to the problem. Exaclty what parts did toy use for the swap? ECU? Loom? Sensors? Has it always run badly since the swap?

Pull the goddamn spark plugs and look at them.
Even better, take a dig pic and post it.
It'll be obvious if you're running rich.

It's most likely you have a fuel leak somewhere.
