Exclamation coolant loss

ok driving home last night from wally world (aka walmart). I was showing off to this 240sx with a sr20 swap. dont know what else but could hear the turbo spool and backfire goodness. anyways i was messing around with him for a bit no real race or anything but i pull over to the turn lane for my neighborhood and smoke starts pouring out from under the hood so traffic cleared up and i pulled into my neighborhood and shut the damn thing off. this was all in a time frame of 15-30 secs. what i come to find out what happend is the coolant Tee that feeds through the bac valve had come part and coolant sparyed out onto my efan that basically misted my entire engine bay with coolant. but in this time my temp sensor went from half to pegged. im going to redo that tee and refill the system. but what im wondering is i have done any major damage to the seals. the engine its self did not seem that hot when i was cleaning it down last night. the turbo wasnt glowing red. the engine wasnt making the ticking sound or purculating. sorry for the long post but ive just spent so much money into this car for the motor to go right now would defintely kick my ***. just over a stupid tee coming apart.

Odds are yes, but only time will tell. Any time the temp guage goes even the slightest bit above half you should shut the car off immediatly, regardless of the circumstances. You might want to try the geyser test, do a search if you don't know what I'm talking about.

update: well i spent the good part of sunday making sure everything was ok. coolant seals are fine. passed the geyser test and held 11psi. but the bad news is that a bunch of coolant landed on the therminal strip of my efan. so now the efan is shot. but its better than a blow motor.
