Injector sockets

I'm about to do a refurb on my fuel injectors and need some guidance on which parts, other than the obvious O-rings, should be replaced. In the attached image, I'm planning on replacing items 8 & 15, and the O-rings on items 9 & 16. (Of course, that's in addition to the replacable rubber items on the injectors themselves.) My question is whether or not to replace any of the socket components shown as 9, 16 and 17 in the attached image? I haven't begun the project yet, but I want to have all the necessary components in hand before I start. Thanks!

Those are the air bleeds. In theory you should be replacing the o-rings that seal them to the manifold. However over time they become very brittle and have a tendency to break upon removal (which is also a major pain without removing all the intake manifolds). So it's up to you if you want to risk breaking them to repalce the o-rings. I should also mention that they're about $30 a piece!

Thanks Aaron. Yeah, I checked the prices on MazdaTrix. I may leave them alone, but I hate to go to the trouble of tearing things apart and not do a thorough job. Know what I mean?

FWIW they don't generally leak unless they are disturbed. I replaced all the o-rings on mine but ended up breaking one in the process.

Thanks again. That's a little comforting. I will likely carefully remove them to replace the O-rings and if get by with breaking one or two, I'll be happy. I'm replacing the primary rail as well, so might as well bite the bullet and do the job right. After all, it's only money. If it will help guarantee a trouble-free day at the track it will be worth it. I think.

Sheesh. Wait a second. Is that in Canadian? I guess I got lucky. I broke one and ended up getting a full set of S5 intakes for $20 shipped. It had a binch of broken bolts in it. I just wanted the diffuser though.

New from the dealer or Mazdatrix they are quite pricey.
