injector resistance ?
i have a steady skip when only holding the throttle steady, no skip during acceleration and a pretty smooth idle at 750rpm . it sounds like a 2cycle motorylcle. like dit dit dit de dit de dit. this is what i have checked so far. crank angle-ok, tps-ok,new plugs, new wires, both coils-ok , water thermo-ok, aws-ok, boost sensor-ok,bac-ok, injectors-?they read 2.3 ohms on the 200 scale and the manual says this is ok from 1.5 to 3.0 ohms for 86-87 models but mine is a 88 vert na 5-speed. when i checked the plugs they were black. the manual says that the resistance for 88"s should be 12 to 16 ohms could this be causing the skip ? i have run MMO in the tank and chevron techron injector cleaner through it so they should be pretty clean. oh i only checked the secondaries. should i install a resistor to compensate so the ecu will read it right, or get new injectors? thanks ex...
