Injector cleaning question (RC Eng)

Ok, looks like I'm gonna be getting a pair of 680's from a gsl-se and I'll be sending them off to get cleaned. I'm on the east coast (NC) and I've heard RC Engineering is a good place, BUT they're on the west coast, and that's gonna take close to 2 weeks just in shipping time. Also, I've heard that serveral people have had injectors from RC Eng that get stuck open. I really just need some feedback on RC Eng. AND I'd also like to know if there are any good injector cleaning shops closer to the east coast that are as good or better than RC.

Oh, one other question...do they just clean the injectors or are the caps and whatnot replaced as well?

hmm marren is pretty close (relatively speaking), anybody else used them? Looks like I may be giving them a go, but more feedback on them would be good.

Look in the yellow pages for local diesel service companies. Many will also service pertol injectors, and in my (and others) experience you get exactly the same service for around half the cost from EFI "specialists". I even got mine back the next day.

I just had a pair of injectors cleaned locally by a diesel shop. I went to pick them up yesterday and they asked when I would be installing them. I said 'in a about a week'. He said 'I should not leave them sitting that long' and asked that I call him the day before I plan on installing them and he'll make sure they are OK before giving them back to me.

They were ready and available if I wanted to take them so he wasn't trying to stall or anything but I've never heard of this before. In fact I see members shipping their injectors to each other and dropping them in wihtout any problems. Is this guy being really cautious or am I missing something?

Beware of going to just any diesel shop, since they don't really specialize in gas injectors. Gasoline and diesel injectors are so very different and use different parts and test equipment.
Just try to find RX-7 side feed o-ring at a diesel shop.

Since our shop and Cruzin only charges $12 each, doubt that you can find a better price.

My room mate had a set of 550cc TII injectors cleaned by RC engineering. Not sure if they were the cause, but his primary injectors ended up sticking or something causing bad hesitation until the primaries kicked in. He ended up replacing the primaries with some used TII injectors fixing the problem.
