there is no place to get new engines unless you want to drop a renesis and a small fortune into your car...

mazda remans aren't too bad from what i hear but also a a bit pricey. you can go to rick's rotary in pleasanton for rebuild but he is also fairly pricey, i can do them also but i'm a bit farther north in sacramento or you can ship out your engine to one of many places for a rebuild: rotaryressurection.com has good prices and one of the best reps on the forum for rebuilds and is also very helpful and checks these boards often if you have questions.

i used to live in Santa cruz, i miss the place but too expensive to own a home there.

Only place you can buy a new engine from is mazdatrix, be prepared to throw in about ~5-6k though.

It's next to impossible to get a "new" engine.

For a "new" engine you would have to buy each part, gasket, nut, bolt, etc’ from Mazda and assemble your "new" engine. Very simple.

If you are looking for as close to new as you can get, there are several places offering rechroming of the housings, which will benefit the motor greatly over used housings.

What have you heard? I have zero problems with my REMAN. Got new housings, new flywheel, new oil pan, etc. $2300 shipped and they picked up my core. Started up first crank not that much smoke and compression tested at 125psi both rotors.

Where'd you get your reman from? 125 is a lot better than some that i've been hearing about remans.

Ordered it from Ray at Malloy Mazda but he had to order it from somewhere else. From what I have heard new housings are luck of the draw.
