Redline fuel injector cleaner and Chevron Techtron in the plastic bottle are probably the best over-the-counter chemicals you can try in your gas tank.

You can take your car to a jiffy lube or some company like that and ask them to clean out your injectors I did and you can actually notice the difference and the best part is it only cost about $40.00 CDN so about $35.00usd

Don't take it to Jiffy Lube. I worked there. They use a three step cleaner. One in the tank. One in a vacum hose. One in the throttle body. The stuff they spray in the throttle body says "Don not use on rotaries". It cleans the throttle body but leans out the AFR at the same time. Sounds bad enough in a piston engine. Prolly detonate a rotor.

Hey, I had pumped tons of the stuff into my car (mostly STP) and when I tore the engine down, the internals were clean as a whistle. I took my injectors for cleaning before installing them into the new engine and and the "pre" numbers were only 2-3 digits away from the "post" number (~118 vs. 121). So, I'd say the stuff does something more than nothing.

Pull the injectors and send them to a local injection shop. It's the only way to really clean them. Turnaround is generally a day or two, at a cost of around $20 per injector. Most communities of 50,000 or more have an diesel shop, and many of them also clean gas injectors. Just grab the Yellow pages, look up "injection service" and call around.

Most in tank stuff is crap.
