Info needed about Infini wheels

Im really interested in buying a set of Infini 16" BBS wheels. I have a seller who has a set, but they look different than any Ive ever seen. A attached a pic of them below. These wheels have rivits around the edge, and the Infini emblem on the center cap is circled, which it isnt on previous Infini wheels Ive seen. He says that the reason these wheels are different is because :

"they are a very rare wheel found on '92 GT-R Enfini (yes, Enfini..not Infini) models"

Now, Im admittantly not very up on JDM models, but Ive never heard of such a thing. Can someone help me out?, let me know what these wheels are? Thanks

Probably somewhere around $1200. Yes I know its alot to pay for stock 16x7" wheels, but what can I say...I have a weird obsession for rare stuff...

The BBS 'vert wheels are 15x6.5. The Infini BBS wheels are the same size as other turbo wheels, 16x7" . Although that brings me to another point I forgot to mention, the seller also claims these are wider, either 7.5 or 8"...

Just for comparison, here is an Infini IV. Notice no rivets, and no circle around the emblem on center cap.

Those are not infini wheels. Infini rims are 16" aluminum single piece forged meshies, those look like 3 piece meshies to me. They look similar, but they're not anywhere CLOSE to infini rims with regards to weight.

P.S. That's not the infini logo either. At least, not on any piece of infini literature or parts that I've ever seen. Usually the logo is a lazy 8 with the word "infini" inscribed th bottom right of the 8.

Thanks..thats what I was thinking also. The Infini emblem is not the same, and the wheels appear to be a 2 -piece at least. Im assuming these are just some kind of infini knock-off?

I don't know what they are. I'm not even sure they're BBS. The center cap looks different than all the other BBS designs from that era. They definitely look cool though. But $1200?? Lol, no thanks.

Yea, if they were authentic Infini wheels Id pay that much...just for rare factor. Usually Ive seen them sell for $600-$800 without tires. I agree they are still nice wheels..but I think Im going to pass. I was looking for a set of genuine Infini wheels, which these are obviously not..

Without tires?? Wow. I wouldn't pay over $600 for a set. They go for peanuts in Japan. I see them on Yahoo auction all the time. Just need to find yourself somebody who will ship them.

First of, those are not genuine BBS wheels, they're cheap copies; and secondly there is no such thing as "Enfini". Infini was the name of the 2nd Gen limited edition models you;re intersted in, and Efini was the brand Mazda sold many models (including the FD) under in Japan. People who don't know their Mazda's well (or dodgy sellers) often make this mistake.

Those wheels are worth a fraction of what a genuine set of Infini BBS wheels are worth, so do not get ripped off!

Personally I don't see why anyone would bother looking for genuine Infini wheels anyway. They're only 16", and BBS are still making wheels that look similar even today. I'd rather get a set of new or used lightweight 17" or 18" BBS wheels than pay a premium for 16" wheels that are 15 years old.

Honestly, just for the rarity. I just like having odd stuff that no one else has I know its kinda dumb...but we all have our little stupid things we like..

I just posted this to see if there was such thing as the limited edition '92 GT-R that was sold under the enfini name, such as I was told. It sounded very... uhm.. "iffy" to me.

This is sad...so very sad, why must people cheat like this to make an extra dollar (or few hundred ). It's a nice wheel, but not even a really good knockoff...are they really Enkei wheels though?

absolutely. those are the EXACT same rims my friend (Yohei) had on his 89 GTU... bad *** drifter, thats for sure. he had Paradas on there. some 255/40s in the rear. mostly bald.

they are Definitly rare, they no longer make them... they are from the early 90's as i said before. in fact, my friend ran stock GTU rims up front w/ 225's and had the fatties in back on those same rims (Remember, he curbed on of them?)

the lip on those babies looks pretty good on the FC.

Those are some nice wheels, no matter if its isnt infini wheels, but the price is a tap steep . I have some 16X8 BBS gold mesh wheels, similar to the vert wheels but a little different. Similar Pic here, but mine's used and has 3 khumo supras and one Dunlop SP9000

I know, just making sure you realised he's trying to rip you off.
