Open venting stock BOV?

I am curious on how this procedure is done. I tried to just diconnect where the BOV recirculates back into the intake and plugged that intake port off. The car ran but I had to keep it above 1,300 RPM or it would stall. Anyone know whats up?

Don't so that. Adding a check valve just restricts the BOV's flow, which defeats the purpose of it being there. Read this article instead.
