Importing 88-91 FC to Canada-What difference in bumpers?

I am considering bringing a car across the boder and Canada Customs flags the FC as "admissable but will require modifications to the existing bumpers". I assume I can just go to the wrecker for the Canadian changeover parts but does anyone know what the actual difference is?

muwhahaha, I'm a ****** pro on this subject I did the same thing. The bumpers are different. They take a different amount of pressure to collapse or something like that. They are about 500 bones canadian. But if the car is over 15 years old.....Check the manufacture date
I brought mine into the country some time ago. its an 87 built in october 86. So when your car was manufactured. if it is over 15 years old you DO NOT need bumpers!
